Gone But Not Forgotten

This page is dedicated to the Places in Las Vegas that while they may not be there anymore, still exist in our memory.  As we find photos or postcards, we will post them along with info about the buildings and businesses:

Chateau Vegas. They would bring lobster, filet mignon, lamb all sides on a huge silver platter. Dessert bananas foster cooked tableside. The vineyard at meadows mall. All you could eat crab legs at the Paddlewheel (later owned by Debbie Reynolds). Ceasars buffet in the showroom.
Cleopatras Barge! Cafe Michelle east side. Cafe Nicole west side Sahara/Decatur. Bix's across from Spanish Trail. Drink nightclub. The sporting house on Industrial. (Now a strip club). All the entertainers worked out there and famous prize fighters!! I could go on and on....

I remember the golf driving range where Red Lobster sits on N. Decatur. Also, how many of you remember Craig Road Speedway ? How about the College Park Bowl in North Las Vegas with Sizzler right next to it and Hilda's right across the street. How about when McCarran Airport was just the big blue building ( curve shaped) with just the one open parking lot out front.I used to go to the Fox Theater in the Charleston Plaza Mall. there was a karate studio across from the Fox ( met Chuck Norris there ).

What about the Omnimax at Caesars???? I wish I could take my kids to that. I remember taking field trips when I went to school at Trinity Christian to see some cool educational movie at the omnimax and it was super cool. Someone needs to bring that place back!!!!
