I remember when we were marched out of our classrooms at Mayfair School (now a fire station I believe) to see the above-ground testing of atomic bombs. There is no light show like an A-bomb. However, I suspect that all of the kids in my neighborhood got a dose of radiation in the process, and perhaps the price of nuclear weapons is still to be paid in terms of our health.
