Upcoming Fall Harvest and Halloween Events

Well, the beautiful harvest moon last night reminded us all that Halloween is just around the corner.  The City of Las Vegas has a number of events throughout the month of October to celebrate that fall is upon us!

Here is a list of upcoming events for ghosts and goblins of all ages (all events are subject to change so as it gets closer we recommend calling ahead to confirm the details.  We will continue to update this list between now and All Hallow's Eve:

Scaribelli Scarecrows (all ages)
Friday, October 5, 6 to 8 p.m. Pre-register by October 1.
$20 per family

Make a scarecrow, craft projects and much more fall fun. Bring
clothes for your scarecrow to wear.

Rainbow Company Youth Theatre presents "My Neighbor, the Monster"
October 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 at 7 p.m.; October 7, 13 and 14 at 2 p.m.

Eat Halloween-shaped sandwiches, drink witches' brew, play pin the
nose on the pumpkin, paint your own pumpkin, and have your picture
taken with Witch Wanda.

Oktoberfest (ages 50+)
Friday, October 19, 12:30 p.m. Advance purchase required.
Fee: $6 by Oct. 17; $7 Oct. 18-19

Enjoy hot German potato salad, bratwurst, sauerkraut, sweet and sour

Howling Halloween Carnival & Haunted House Experience (all ages)
Friday, October 19, 4 to 7 p.m.; Haunted House open 5 to 7 p.m.
Fee: $5 wristband
Charleston Neighborhood Preservation Park, Hyde Avenue west of Torrey
Pines Drive.
Enjoy carnival booths with candy prizes, eating contest, pumpkin
patch extravaganza, live entertainment and a spooky haunted house.

Halloween BOO Youth Dance (ages 11-15)

Dress in an outrageous costume and enjoy a fun, safe night out.

Free Movie in the Park (all ages)

Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy "Witches" family movie.
Dress for the weather. Pre-movie activities include a Halloween
costume parade, pumpkin weight-guessing contest and more.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. Event canceled in case
of inclement weather.


Annual Autumn Arts Festival (all ages)

Knott's Scary Farm Trip (ages 12-adults)

Slam dunk a pumpkin through a basketball hoop with a twist while
