Henderson's WinterFest starts this weekend!
The City of Henderson will host its annual WinterFest celebration, December 9-10, 2011 at the Henderson Events Plaza and Henderson Convention Center, both located at 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. This year's them will be An Old-Fashioned Christmas Delight as the event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities including an official tree lighting ceremony with Santa Claus, gingerbread house displays, Scrooge and Friends roaming performances and introducing a new EVENING LIGHT PARADE! Admission for all activities is complimentary.

Saturday, December 10: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Two Stages of Live Entertainment, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Enjoy performances by a number of school choirs and local entertainers on the Candy Cane Stage or the Snowflake Stage.
Scrooge & Friends, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.: The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company takes on the role of the infamous holiday character, Scrooge, along with his friends, while they stroll the Events Plaza and Water Street District singing classic carols and performing a number of skits.
Children’s Art Display Reception, 1 p.m.: Browse the artistic pieces created by our local school children and presented by art teacher, Jane Marquez, at the Henderson Convention Center.
Evening Light Parade, 5 p.m.: Henderson’s Water Street District will illuminate for the first-ever evening light parade. Watch as floats, marching bands and other unique entries proceed down the historic roadways of our premier city.
