ACTUALLY, IT WAS FIRST CALLED "THE JUNGLE CLUB"..ALSO SERVED MOSTLY MEXICAN FOOD. NOW I BELIEVE IT HAS BECOME A GAY BAR AND RESTAURANT.

I used to hang out at the El Jardin's back in the 80's, what a place. We had so much fun in them days. The name of the band was called the Brothers. They were awesome.
Like anything in life, people move on. It is very sad to say.Today it is still a Mexican nite club. with Mexican music. Way different from back then.

I was a waiter at the El Jardin in 1978 ... What a Party

I was a waiter at The Jungle Club in the late 70's-early 80's. I left when it changed. I worked graveyard and I can tell you that it was a one-of-kind. almost every headliner,dancer,and F&B server from the Strip came in. The best part was they all were themselves.Anyone who came in then knows what I am talking about! I was blessed to have been there.

Does anyone recall the band "Spanish Accent" that used to perform here?

I remember Spanish Accent. I worked there as a waiter starting in 1978. I ran into one of the guys from the band in Tijuana. Do you remember any of the employees there? Hey Chris... I remember you.

Where was the El Jardin located?

My mom's name is Leighann Escoto, my Great Uncle Pete owned the El Hardin and my mom tells us stories all the time of what an amazing restaurant it was. We have autographed menus from the jungle club and the el jardin from Debbie Reynolds and Donny and Marie and the Jackson 5. If you worked there, you probably know my grandma Lydia Escoto, my uncle Cuco( Ralph) Escoto, and my uncle Eric who was in his teens at the time.
