A Sad Day for Neon Lovers

Word came down this afternoon that two of the best neon designers from that fabled era of Las Vegas history had died over the weekend, Betty Willis and Brian "Buzz" Leming. Betty, of course, was the designer of the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign among others and Buzz had been on the design team of the original Caesars Palace sign and the Aladdin sign in addition to his own body of work.

We have a tribute to these two good friends of Classic Las Vegas up on the new blog:

Rest in peace, Betty and Buzz we will miss you!
