Well, Palie, this month's for you!
If you love Frank, the Rat Pack and Sinatra's singing then Turner Classic Movies is going to be the place to be this month.
Every Sunday and Wednesday throughout the month they will be not only spotlighting the movies but they are also airing four of the music specials that Sinatra produced for television. This Sunday they are showing the rarely seen "
A Man and His Music" which aired originally in 1965. Later that evening they are showing the short film that Sinatra starred in 1945: "
The House I Live In" where he explains the importance of racial tolerance to a group of young kids.
Also on the schedule is the rarely seen "
Sergeants 3" a western remake of "
Gunga Din" as well as Sinatra's
Academy Award winning turn as Maggio in "
From Here to Eternity"
Joining
Robert Osborne ever Wednesday evening will be Sinatra's children, Frank, Nancy and Tina, to talk about their father, his films and the myths that surround him.
As part of the salute to Sinatra,
Warners Home Video with the cooperation of the Sinatra family, is releasing an extensive
boxed set of Frank's films. It should be a wonderful month for all of us who love the Chairman of the Board.
